The "RheinRiff" project in Düsseldorf is the conversion of a former steel construction hall in Düsseldorf into the largest indoor surfing hall in the world. Since mid-May 2023 surfers from young to old are here on the wave or enjoy real beach feeling (in any weather). We are very proud to have been part of this project!
The task for DIE TORBAUER was to realize the demarcation between indoor and outdoor area. For this purpose, the following requirements had to be implemented at the architect's request.
- Plenty of light incidence
- Shapely integration into the facade optics
- All panels made of real glass
- Emergency exit openings
- 6 openings W 7000 x H 4200mm
- 1 opening W 2326 x H 4200mm
- Large barrier-free overall opening
- Uniform division of glazing bars
- All aluminum profiles with high quality powder coating in RAL 7016 (anthracite gray)
The 7 openings were equipped differently...
Opening 1: Fixed element consisting of interconnected 6 individual sashes.
Opening 2: fixed element with a double-leaf emergency exit door
Opening 3-5: Folding doors with an integrated fixed element.
Opening 6: Fixed element with two doors as staff access to the outside bar
Opening 7: 2-wing emergency exit door
